Learn to paint with light! In this fun and informative workshop, Jim Caldwell, from The Fotobug Podcast and Outdoor Photo Workshops, teaches you the tips, tricks and techniques to get unique images using long exposures and lighting tools.
Light painting is a technique where the photographer works in a darkened environment, and by using common flashlights can light the scene over time and in a manner that would be difficult or even impossible to do using conventional lighting or strobes. This technique isn't limited to studio work, it can even be used for landscapes after nightfall.
This hands-on workshop will cover:
theories of good lighting
equipment needed for light painting
tips and techniques
demonstration of the two major approaches to light painting
shooting sessions for participants
feedback for light painted images
Bring your camera and tripod if you’d like to shoot but they are not required for the workshop.
Each participant will receive a copy of Jim’s Light Painting ebook (a $15 value) and a $10 gift certificate to the OPG store.
Space is limited, so sign up today!
